Less Perfection, More Personality

Can we talk about what's happening in fashion and hair right now? Because honestly, I'm loving it!

I'm seeing colour, animal print, boyfriend jeans, and that slightly undone, lived-in hair that reminds me of the Olsen twins and a young Kate Moss. A little '90s grunge, a little bohemian, a little heroin chic nostalgia but with a modern twist.

And you know what? I'm here for it.

We've spent so much time obsessing over the clean girl aesthetic slicked back buns, perfectly polished hair, immaculate outfits, and looking like every single strand is exactly where it should be. But lately, I'm craving something a little less perfect.

Give me the oversized boyfriend jeans, the leopard print coat, the vintage belt, and hair that looks like I've slept in it, run my fingers through it, and carried on with my day.

Give me character. Give me texture. Give me a little bit of attitude.

There's something so effortlessly cool about hair that doesn't look overly styled. Those soft, irregular waves, the grown-out layers, the slightly messy texture think Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen with their signature bohemian hair, mixed with Kate Moss's iconic model off duty energy.

It's not about looking messy for the sake of it. It's about looking like yourself without having to spend an hour trying to achieve perfection.

And the animal print? Oh, don't get me started!

Leopard, zebra, snake print bring it all on. Pair it with relaxed denim, unexpected colour, a great pair of boots, or something vintage you've had in your wardrobe for years. Not everything needs to match. Not everything needs to be coordinated. Sometimes the best outfits are the ones that look as though they've come together naturally.

Which brings me to my favourite thought: why are we always chasing the next aesthetic?

One minute it's clean girl, the next it's something completely different. Trends come and go so quickly that you can barely settle into one before social media tells you it's over.

But perhaps that's the fun of it. We get to experiment, revisit old favourites, borrow inspiration from different decades, and decide what works for us.

Because style isn't about following every trend. It's about knowing what you love, wearing it with confidence, and not being afraid to mix things up.

So, for now, I'm embracing the animal print, the boyfriend jeans, the lived in waves, and that slightly undone, effortlessly cool feeling.

Less perfection. More personality.

For that perfectly undone, Olsen-twins-meets-Kate-Moss kind of hair, Sachajuan Ocean Mist is one of my favourite styling essentials. A few spritzes through damp hair, a little scrunching, and letting it air-dry creates that effortless, beachy texture we all love.

The secret is not to overthink it. Soft waves, a little grit, natural movement, and a finish that feels lived-in rather than overly styled. And honestly? Sometimes it looks even better on day three.

Here's to a little less polished and a whole lot more personal style. 🖤
